A few of my favorite products to use for shampooing would be Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter or Creme of Nature with Argan oil from Morocco. When conditioning normally or incorporating the deep conditioning method I use the Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque, Restoration Conditioner and Shea Moisture 100% Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. Then once a month I add in the ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) rinse cleanse.
During my in between style washes my go to item would be the As I Am Coconut CoWash Cleansing Conditioner. This is good for detangling as well and quick for removing product residue and buildup.
My first time trying Uncle Funky’s Daughter product was at the 2015 Black Expo Houston. I notice the yummy sent right away (lol) and of course it melted right into my hair easily. I found their travel kit at a local Target store and its my go to item when going on trips for easy packing when I want some quick leave out and refreshing curls.
For styling: I use the Cantu Beauty Shea Butter for Natural Hair mist and curling cream for bantu knots and perm rod sets. For my wash and go styles I like to use the Karen’s Body Beautiful Pomegranate Guava Sweet Ambrosia leave-in conditioner. I usually switch up to only use one brand at a time or sometimes I will combine a few together. Ultimately my goal is to apply the LOC (Liquid, Oil, Cream) method to get the best results for a style, such as the Creme of Nature with Argan Oil from Morocco leave-in conditioner, The Mane Choice Growth Oil and The Curl Smiler from Happily Natural Curls. Everyone’s hair type is different so I encourage you to find what best suits you in your natural hair journey.
